![]() Lots of wear on the chair and sofa in living room. Couldn't get wagon threw between the bed and dresser. We packed up our wagon and proceeded to come to stairs. We HAD to use specific elevators to get to our suite. We were given ZERO directions on parking. I knew going in this wasn't the nicest, most fancy resort on the beach. The boardwalk was about a 25-30 minute walk away. There were several restaurants and shops in close proximity, as well as Family Kingdom. (The drinks were great.) The location wasn’t terrible. My fiancé and I ordered drinks from the poolside bar and the bartender was very approachable, prompt, and friendly. People would crowd in front of you, or get mad if you tried to make their way around them. (Thankfully no one did.) We were able to attend the fire hula show, but other guests were rude when it came to getting a good spot to see. Also some children weren’t abiding by the rules and were jumping into the pools when it is clearly posted not to do that. There was some trash in them a few times though. ![]() A few of the games malfunctioned and took money off of my sons arcade card, but an employee did add back his lost funds. Some of the employees in there didn’t seem excited to be at work by any means, however. We bowled a couple times at Level 6 and it was fun. Although the view was beautiful, I didn’t like that I couldn’t look down the beach on either side due to the other buildings blocking the views. My family stayed in an Oceanfront Double Suite. Some of the furniture was scratched and starting to show its age, but I loved the hard floors instead of carpet. (Housekeeping is limited.) Once I got in our room, I was relieved to see that it was clean and somewhat updated. The halls were kind of dingy and there were some bags of trash and dirty linen outside of some of the rooms. (I did receive several calls before I arrived regarding the same meeting/presentation.) Which was a little annoying. When I was getting the wrist bands for my family I was asked to attend a meeting regarding the purchase of a timeshare, but I politely declined. Check in took around 15 minutes in total. on a Thursday.) There is a $12 per day parking fee to park in the garage, however. Initially I was nervous about parking, but I was able to find a spot easily. Overall I was quite satisfied with my stay at Captain’s Quarters Resort.
